Solar Powered Catamaran

Solar powered catamaran Yacht Design Client: Vs Hydro Project team: Andrej Kregar and Rene Konrad A Solar-Powered Catamaran for Africa’s Great Lakes The solar-powered catamaran project began far from home, in Rwanda. A local company approached us with a clear goal: to design a vessel that could improve daily life around the African Great Lakes. These include Lake Malawi, Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganyika, and Lake Kivu. Together, these lakes cover more than 133,000 km² and host over 2,000 species. More importantly, they support the livelihoods of millions of people. According to the African Great Lakes Initiative (AGLI), fishing is the primary source of income. It employs over 690,000 people and produces more than one billion fish annually. In addition, the lakes are vital for transport, trade, and access to essential services. The Challenge: Safety, Reliability, and Sustainability However, conditions on these vast lakes are unpredictable. Most local boats are fragile and poorly equipped. As a result, they struggle in rough weather. Furthermore, weak communication infrastructure increases the risk even more. Sadly, this combination leads to tragic accidents. On Lake Victoria alone, around 5,000 lives are lost every year. Therefore, our mission was clear. We needed to design a vessel that is affordable, reliable, and emission-free. At the same time, it had to be strong enough to withstand extreme lake conditions. Technical Specifications of the Catamaran The final result is a six-meter solar-powered catamaran with a payload capacity of one ton. It cruises at speeds between 6 and 12 knots, with a range of approximately 40 kilometers. The vessel is built from high-density polyethylene (HDPE). This material was chosen for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio and high impact resistance. Structurally, the catamaran consists of two main parts: the hull, and the roof, which carries the solar panels. Clean Energy and Power System Power is supplied by a 6–10 kW brushless DC motor. This motor is driven by a 48 V monocrystalline solar array with a total power of 4,000 W. The system is connected to LiFePO₄ batteries (48 V, 100 Ah / 200 A). In total, ten solar panels generate up to 4 kW of energy. Meanwhile, the lithium “Powerwall”-type batteries efficiently store this energy. These batteries are similar to those popularized by Tesla and offer high reliability and long lifespan. Smart Control with AMAZIAPP At the heart of the system is AMAZIAPP, a smart energy and navigation interface displayed on a 10-inch screen. This system manages: solar input, battery storage, engine output, and overall power consumption. In addition, it provides navigation, range prediction, speed optimization, and a crucial “sail home” safety function. Thanks to this, the catamaran ensures safe, predictable journeys. At the same time, it remains intuitive and user-friendly for everyday use. Edit gallery Go back Instagram Facebook-f Linkedin-in Youtube ALL RIGHTS RESERVED 2024 KREATIF DESIGN

Bixie Balance Bike

BIXIE – BALANCE BIKE Product Design Project design team: Andrej Kregar, Peter Vidmar, Ambrož Močnik Development and preparation for production: Žiga Komperšek, Andrej Kregar Website: Bixie Award: BIG SEE Product Design 2019 The Most Natural First Bike for Children Bixie is designed as the most natural first bike for children, and therefore offers an experience that feels both familiar and inspiring. It is crafted from locally sourced materials in the heart of the Alps. As a result, every bike carries a sense of origin, quality, and intention. Moreover, the design reflects a child’s instinctive desire to imitate their parents, which makes Bixie far more than a simple toy. Locally Sourced Beechwood From Slovenia The beechwood used for Bixie is harvested mostly in Slovenia, which is the third most forested country in Europe. Consequently, the bike supports local forestry and reduces transport-related emissions. In addition, the natural look and feel of the wood give Bixie a warm, authentic character.Furthermore, Bixie is not a cheap stand-in for a bicycle. Instead, it is a real balance bike that looks and feels genuine, only better. In fact, its natural materials and thoughtful construction make it more durable and more sustainable than many mass-produced alternatives. Bixie is made from natural beechwood, paired with leather grips and a leather saddle. As a result, the bike is 99 percent recyclable. Moreover, all wooden parts are treated only with natural waxes and oils, which are non-toxic and completely safe for children. In addition, this approach ensures that the bike remains environmentally responsible. Consequently, parents can choose Bixie with confidence, knowing that it supports both child safety and long-term sustainability. Lightweight, Adjustable, and Child-Friendly The saddle is height-adjustable, and therefore suitable for children of various ages and sizes. Furthermore, its lightweight wooden frame allows children to handle the bike with ease. As a result, young riders feel more confident and independent from the very first ride.In addition, the combination of low weight and natural materials makes Bixie both practical and gentle for everyday use. More Than a Toy: Developing Real Skills Unlike many toys, Bixie helps children build real riding skills. It teaches balance, coordination, and steering, which consequently prepare them for riding a real bike. Moreover, it encourages healthy movement, supports agility, and brings joy and freedom into outdoor play. For example, children quickly learn how to shift their weight, maintain stability, and glide with confidence. Ultimately, this makes the transition to a pedal bike much easier. Designed for a More Sustainable Future Bixie also encourages a healthier lifestyle in several ways. For instance, it helps reduce screen time by motivating children to spend more time outdoors. Furthermore, it uses 80 percent less adhesive than typical plywood bikes, which significantly improves its environmental footprint. In addition, all materials are CO₂ neutral, and the entire bike is designed with sustainability in mind. Consequently, Bixie proves that eco-friendly design can be beautiful, functional, and fun. Ultimately, we believe that even the smallest choices, such as your child’s first bike, can make a meaningful difference. With Bixie, that difference is both sustainable and joyful. Apartment RD

APARTMENT RD Interior Design We completed an interior renovation for a client in Rožna Dolina. The goal was to create a space that is both modern and functional, while reflecting the client’s personal taste and lifestyle. The process began with an in-depth consultation to understand their wishes, requirements, and aesthetic preferences. The apartment features a bright and inviting living room with a kitchen and dining island, a bathroom, and a bedroom. Thanks to large windows, the entire space is filled with natural light, giving it an airy, open, and seamless feel. Our design approach aimed to create a space that is not only beautiful and thoughtfully arranged, but also a bit bold and playful. This comes through most clearly in the choice of colors. The apartment is defined by a striking combination of white and deep blue, from the sofa to the shelving and kitchen cabinets. In the living area, we introduced natural wooden tones through the dining table, coffee table, and warm brown curtains. Gold accents, such as the pendant lights above the dining table and the TV graphics, bring a touch of elegance and sophistication. Together, the color palette and lighting transform the space into something resembling a work of art. The expansive white walls become a canvas, while the blue, gold, and wood elements serve as brushstrokes. The design itself is the painter’s careful hand bringing harmony, character, and imagination to life. Office and apartment in one

OFFICE AND APARTMENT AS ONE Interior Design Project team: Damir Černec, Andrej Kregar, Jože Kouter Award: BIG SEE Interior Design Award 2024 We transformed a former office into a modern live-work apartment. From the beginning, the vision stayed clear. The clients wanted a bold and functional home. Moreover, both clients work as graphic designers. Therefore, they chose a contemporary industrial style. At the same time, they asked for natural materials and a dark color palette. Because of this, we redesigned the entire layout. First, we converted the small office restroom into a spacious bathroom with a shower. Next, we added a compact kitchen with a refrigerator, dishwasher, and small hob. Meanwhile, we separated the living and working zones from the hallway. For this reason, we designed a dark partition wall with a concealed door. To strengthen the industrial character, we introduced bold design elements throughout the interior. For example, we added perforated metal to the ceiling profiles. At the same time, we finished the bedroom walls and the wall behind the work desks with raw concrete coating. Likewise, we created custom clothes racks from iron pipes. In addition, we installed perforated iron sheets as flexible organizational boards. Previously, the space featured Armstrong ceilings however, we removed them to expose the structure. As a result, the supporting profiles now remain visible and painted black. Ultimately, these elements define the raw, expressive industrial atmosphere and complete the transformation. Convertbile Studio M

CONVERTIBLE STUDIO APARTMENT M Interior Design Project team: Andrej Kregar and Gregor Blaj The Design Challenge Our architects faced a clear challenge. They needed to furnish one of the smaller studio apartments in Ljubljana. From the start, the space targeted a young couple or an individual. At the same time, the apartment had to suit long-term rental. Therefore, the main goal focused on clear separation. The kitchen, bedroom, dining, and living zones all share one room. However, each needed its own identity. Smart Separation Without Walls In larger apartments, designers often add partition walls. In this case, the architects chose a smarter path. Instead, they used folding elements and integrated solutions. As a result, the kitchen only becomes accessible after the bed is made. Because of this, cooking odors never reach the bedding. At the same time, the resident can prepare the space for a romantic dinner with one simple step. Despite the compact size, the apartment still welcomes three guests for cards or a football match. Moreover, all functional elements fold away in one smooth motion. Therefore, daily use stays effortless. A Layout Driven by Function From the beginning, functionality guided the entire layout. For this reason, the kitchen follows a clean straight line.Surprisingly, the apartment also includes space for both a washing machine and a dryer.Meanwhile, a wardrobe at the entrance stores coats and shoes. In addition, another closet near the dining area holds daily clothing. As a result, storage remains generous despite the small footprint. Dark Elegance and Natural Light Visually, the interior feels elegant and refined. In particular, dark furniture pairs with warm oak details. Oak parquet flooring grounds the entire space. At first, this combination often surprises visitors. However, once they settle in, they notice the harmony. In fact, many comment on how refined the apartment feels.Meanwhile, large windows flood the interior with daylight. Because of this, the depth and warmth of the dark tones stand out even more. A Compact Yet Complete Bathroom Notably, the bathroom remains the only fully separate room. Even so, it includes a full-sized shower. In addition, it provides generous hidden storage behind a mirrored surface.Where possible, ambient lighting enhances the space. At the same time, glass protection ensures easy maintenance and clean lines. A Thoughtful Lighting Concept Throughout the apartment, lighting plays a key role. For example, the bathroom features lights along the sides and above the mirror. This setup mirrors professional makeup studios.Likewise, the lighting concept continues into the living area. When switched off, the fixtures appear as sleek black ceiling accents. When switched on, they brighten every surface. As a result, the apartment always feels warm and inviting. Ultimately, this apartment proves one thing clearly. Thoughtful design works even in very small spaces. In other words, size no longer limits creativity. Instead, it invites smarter and bolder solutions. Villa G

VILLA G Interior Design Project team: Andrej Kregar, Damir Černec, Evgeny Ustyugov Photos: LUX Agency, Jaka Rogelj Location and Urban Context The building stands near Ljubljana. From the outset, it blends naturally into a neighborhood shaped by modern villas. As a result, the new structure feels both contemporary and well placed. At the same time, it respects the clean architectural language of its surroundings. At the core, the architectural concept relies on two intersecting cubes. These volumes meet at right angles. Because of this, they form a covered outdoor space in between. Moreover, both volumes face south. Therefore, the interiors receive abundant natural light throughout the day. Functional Layout of the Home On the ground floor, the layout focuses on daily living. First, the entrance hall leads into a large living room. Next, the open space connects to a spacious kitchen and dining area. In addition, this level includes a study and a day room.Meanwhile, the first floor serves as a private zone. Here, the master bedroom connects with two children’s rooms. Additionally, two generous bathrooms and utility spaces complete the level. As a result, the home remains both functional and well organized. High-End Interior Details From the beginning, the interior follows an exceptionally high standard. For example, ceramic tiles align with remarkable precision. In addition, designers concealed even the power sockets inside drawers. Because of this, users can charge devices without visible cables. As a result, the space remains visually clean and calm. Light, Height, and Spatial Flow Thanks to a suspended ceiling in the central living area, the space gains depth. Moreover, large glass surfaces amplify the flow of daylight. At the same time, ambient lighting creates shifting plays of light. Consequently, the interior feels alive and refined.Furthermore, varying ceiling heights shape a dynamic sense of movement. Therefore, the entire interior feels fluid and expansive instead of static. Finally, the staircase adds a strong architectural accent. At first, it appears as a cantilevered element. Then, it gradually transforms into a more traditional form. As a result, it becomes both a functional and sculptural centerpiece. Edit gallery Go back Instagram Facebook-f Linkedin-in Youtube ALL RIGHTS RESERVED 2024 KREATIF DESIGN

Apartment R

APARTMENT R Interior Design Architect: Andrej Kregar Colleague: Laura Trobec Designed for Modern Life The apartment follows the pace of modern life. From the start, functionality guided every decision. Moreover, the space stays full of natural light.Because of this, every element serves a clear purpose. At the same time, nothing feels excessive. As a result, everything you need remains exactly where it belongs. The apartment feels special for a clear reason. Although the design follows minimalism, it still feels warm. As a result, the interior never feels cold. For example, the living room invites slow evenings and quiet moments. Meanwhile, the two-level layout adds depth and comfort. Throughout the process, one question guided the design. On the one hand, modern minimalism shaped the structure. On the other hand, warmth shaped the atmosphere. In the end, both ideas met in perfect balance. Therefore, the final space supports daily life with ease. Materials That Shape the Space The character of the apartment comes from its materials. In particular, a refined mix of colors defines the mood. Furthermore, layered textures add visual depth.Consequently, the space feels rich rather than flat. At the same time, warm wood softens the white walls. Black accents appear only where needed. As a result, contrasts remain controlled. Moreover, the balance between light and dark creates harmony. In this way, the interior stays calm yet expressive. Every material choice follows a deeper idea. Instead of choosing randomly, we studied the surroundings. For example, the wooden TV panel echoes the Kamnik–Savinja Alps.In addition, wood and Pohorje tonalite mirror the natural landscape. Because of this, the apartment connects naturally to its location. Sustainability Through Local Sources The materials also tell a sustainability story. Most importantly, we used local resources. As a result, transport distances stayed short. Moreover, this decision lowered the carbon footprint. At the same time, it supported the local economy. In the end, this apartment proves a simple idea. Even in minimalism, warmth still belongs. Therefore, the space never feels empty.Ultimately, it becomes a home that adapts to everyday life with ease. Apartment P

APARTMENT P Interior Design Project team: Andrej Kregar, Damir Černec Photos: Janez Marolt Clean Lines and Calm Atmosphere The interior follows clean lines and minimalist details. From the start, the design preserves visual simplicity. At the same time, a calm and soft color palette creates harmony. Moreover, wooden elements add warmth. As a result, the apartment feels balanced and homely. A Dark Kitchen as the Visual Anchor The kitchen takes a central position in the apartment. At first glance, its dark tones stand out. However, this bold choice still blends with the neutral surroundings. As a result, the kitchen brings contrast without feeling heavy. The kitchen consists of two distinct parts. On the one hand, dark surfaces define its elegance. On the other hand, wooden accents soften the look. Because of this, natural textures and warm hues come forward. Lighting as a Design Tool Lighting received special attention. For this reason, it highlights the depth of dark tones. At the same time, it enhances the warmth of the wood. Moreover, it provides strong and practical light for cooking. As a result, the space feels both functional and atmospheric. Design Shaped by Daily Life The entire apartment supports daily comfort. From the beginning, practical use guided every decision. Therefore, each room serves a clear purpose. In addition, every piece of furniture follows a functional role. The layout remains rational and open. For example, the kitchen includes a freestanding island. Moreover, large work surfaces allow easy preparation. At the same time, comfortable seating and a large dining table support social moments. Open and Inviting Spaces The bathrooms and bedrooms remain open and airy. As a result, the apartment feels fluid. Furthermore, each space invites daily use. In this way, every area reveals its full potential. The furniture reinforces this feeling. At the same time, it follows a unified design language. Moreover, soft and calming colors connect the entire interior visually. A Layered and Refined Home What we created goes beyond beauty alone. Instead, the apartment feels layered and diverse. For instance, white walls meet black kitchen surfaces. Meanwhile, warm wood contrasts with cool stone. As a result, the interior unfolds like a mosaic. Ultimately, these elements form a refined living environment. Therefore, the apartment feels both modern and welcoming. NT Systems – Electric Nautical Propulsion System

NT SYSTEMS – ELECTRIC NAUTICAL PROPULSION SYSTEMS Product Design Project team: Andrej Kregar, Tomaž Perme Client: NT Systems Award: BIG SEE Slovenski design summer 2023 NT Systems is a young Slovenian startup that develops advanced products in marine propulsion, electrical engineering, and electronic systems. From the start, the company has focused on innovation and precision. At the same time, it places strong emphasis on elegant, modern design. Product Design and Visual Identity We designed several products for NT Systems and also created their supporting communication materials. At the core, all solutions share compact and organic forms. Moreover, the black, gray, and blue color palette reflects the brand’s modern identity. In addition, we developed a complete branding system. This included the logo, UX/UI interfaces, and a unified graphic language. As a result, the products, digital tools, and communication channels now follow one consistent visual direction. Control Levers: Compact, Ergonomic, and Intuitive Our collaboration began with the design of the control levers. At this stage, the main challenge involved limited dashboard space. Therefore, the levers had to combine compact size with full functionality. At the same time, we focused on clean proportions and strong button visibility. In addition, we enabled comfortable one-handed use of both levers. As a result, the final product feels intuitive and precise. For this reason, we selected a combination of metal and plastic. Consequently, the levers remain durable, ergonomic, and pleasant to the touch. Screen and User Interface In addition to the levers, we also designed the dashboard screen and its graphical user interface. Here as well, clarity remained the priority. Therefore, we focused on intuitive navigation and easy-to-read information. As a result, users can quickly understand system status and react with confidence. Engine Design: S50 and T350 Compactness and organic shaping also guided the development of the S50 and T350 engines. From the beginning, efficient use of space played a central role. Therefore, the engines occupy as little room as possible. At the same time, their form visually connects with the rest of the product line. Likewise, they follow the same black, gray, and blue color scheme. As a result, the engines feel like a natural extension of the brand. Completing the Brand Experience To complete the overall experience, we also prepared user manuals aligned with the visual identity. In this way, consistency extends beyond the hardware and into everyday use. Ultimately, this approach strengthens brand recognition across all touchpoints. Metal Morph

METAL MORPH Product Design Project team: Andrej Kregar and Tomaž Perme Client: Metal Morph Project Overview We designed a new protective surface for Metal Morph’s two metalworking machines, the HF 600 TT and the multi-slide HF 450 TT. The main goal was to create a modern, efficient, and user-friendly design that clearly reflects the function of the machines while also achieving a strong visual presence. From the start, the focus was placed on clarity, durability, and a design language that supports both operation and brand recognition. Design Language and Visual Identity The new surface design builds on Metal Morph’s existing visual identity. It retains the familiar rounded edges that characterize the brand’s previous products and ensure continuity across the product range. At the same time, the redesign introduces a significant shift in surface color. The former light gray and blue palette has been replaced with a deep black finish. This change gives the machines a more contemporary, professional, and high-quality appearance. The new color also strengthens contrast and allows key functional elements to stand out more clearly. Beyond its visual impact, the dark finish supports everyday industrial use by reducing the visibility of wear and creating a more uniform long-term appearance. As a result, the machines now project a stronger, more confident presence on the production floor. The updated look also aligns closely with the client’s current brand direction and supports their positioning in a competitive industrial market. Function Driven Form The form of the protective surface is derived directly from the internal structure and function of each machine. Every line and transition follows technical requirements rather than decorative choices. By allowing function to define the shape, the design uses the available volume efficiently and avoids unnecessary visual complexity. This approach results in a surface that feels clean, purposeful, and visually balanced. Material selection played an important role in achieving both durability and cost efficiency. The chosen materials provide resistance to industrial use, protect sensitive components, and ensure long-term stability. At the same time, the rational design and controlled complexity support economical manufacturing in series production. Through this process, we achieved a solution that balances visual quality, technical performance, and production efficiency. Airpod sleeping capsule

AIRPOD SLEEPING CAPSULE Product Design Project team: Andrej Kregar The Problem Airpod Responds To The start-up Airpod was founded in response to a growing issue found in nearly all public spaces. In particular, airports, bus stations, and train terminals often lack private areas for rest. As a result, travelers struggle to feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed. Therefore, the need for a new solution became increasingly clear. This same challenge motivated the clients who approached us with their idea. From the beginning, they asked us to shape the concept through industrial design. At the same time, it became clear that the project required deep research into travel behavior and user experience. Because of this, the design phase began with careful observation and analysis. Interior-First Design Approach We started the design process from the inside out. First, we created ergonomic sketches of the interior layout. Next, we focused on storage accessibility. As a result, both open and hidden storage areas now sit within easy reach. Industrial designer Andrej Kregar focused strongly on demanding users. At the same time, affordability remained an important goal. Therefore, every feature balances comfort with practicality. Throughout the process, we evaluated not only form but also real everyday function. Technology, Comfort, and Privacy Every interior feature comes from a precise design decision. For this reason, lighting and sound received special attention. Moreover, the business-class seat uses advanced technology for music and film viewing. At the same time, smart glass ensures full privacy. As a result, the capsule supports work, rest, and sleep equally well. User Interface and Smart Control We also designed a simple and intuitive control system. As a result, users manage all functions with one finger. In addition, a built-in monitor shows real-time flight data. Therefore, the alarm function ensures timely boarding without stress. Relaxation and Sensory Design To improve relaxation even further, we added calming LED lighting and healing-frequency music. For this reason, stress and anxiety drop noticeably. At the same time, these elements support better sleep in busy environments. In terms of aesthetics, we selected premium textures and clean forms. As a result, the capsule feels both luxurious and calming. Moreover, ergonomic function and modern design blend into one coherent shape. Final Product and Market Vision We refined many existing market ideas into one unified system. Through this process, the capsule gained multiple layers of function. As a result, Airpod now serves as a private sanctuary within crowded public spaces. Ultimately, this is the first in a new generation of sleeping capsules. Therefore, Airpod introduces a smarter, calmer, and more human way to travel. Edit gallery Go back Instagram Facebook-f Linkedin-in Youtube ALL RIGHTS RESERVED 2024 KREATIF DESIGN

Apartment in House C

APARTMENT IN HOUSE C Interior Design Project team: Andrej Kregar An apartment is a place where aesthetics and functionality come together to create a comfortable and convenient living environment. Each apartment design tells a new story. A new space with its own features, and new owners with unique needs and wishes. The apartment in House C appears compact at first glance, yet its interior layout reveals a structure that clearly distinguishes individual areas. Each space is purposefully designed and adapted to its function. At the heart of the apartment is a long, open space that includes the living room, kitchen, and dining area. This serves as the main gathering place and creates a flowing, open atmosphere. On either side of this central area are smaller, more private rooms. Near the entrance is the master bedroom with an attached spacious bathroom, while the opposite side of the apartment features two children’s rooms and a shared bathroom. The layout is generous enough to also include a workspace, a dedicated bicycle room, and a guest toilet. The interior is composed in calm, light, and natural tones and materials, including soft gray, pastel shades, wood, and white surfaces. This choice ensures that no individual space overwhelms its surroundings, and the apartment feels like a unified whole. The gentle palette contributes to a warm and homely atmosphere. These tones do not demand attention, yet they remain key aesthetic elements that enhance the overall character of the space. Underground hotel

UNDERGROUND HOTEL Interior Design Project team: Andrej Kregar, Tomaž Perme, Damir Černec A Concept That Turns Architecture Inward The underground hotel represents a unique architectural concept rooted in innovation and imagination. In contrast to conventional buildings that grow upward, this hotel turns downward and, as a result, creates a deeper relationship with materiality, texture, and the tectonic qualities of space. Because of this, the design feels both unusual and immersive. From the very beginning, the goal was not only to design a hotel but also to shape an entirely new spatial experience that challenges traditional architectural expectations. Designing Within a Former Wine Cellar Designing a hotel inside a former wine cellar presented a complex challenge. For this reason, we approached the space with care and intention. Instead of altering the existing structure, we envisioned the hotel as a sequence of guest rooms carefully inserted into the cellar’s large volume. In this way, the original atmosphere remains preserved while new functions are introduced. At the same time, generous shared areas emerged naturally as places for gathering and interaction. Consequently, the layout allows guests to experience both community and privacy within the same environment, which adds depth to the overall stay. A Dialogue Between Old and New The distinctive character of the underground hotel lies in the constant interplay of materials. In particular, strong contrasts between the original brick and stone walls and the newly built rooms define the space. Meanwhile, the new volumes introduce smooth surfaces, clean lines, and refined detailing. Throughout the hotel, from the reception area to the shared spaces and the guest rooms, the tension between old and new remains clearly present. For example, rough stone textures meet white and black surfaces, and as a result, the interior forms a layered and visually rich dialogue that feels intentional and balanced. Moreover, this contrast highlights the architectural heritage of the cellar while celebrating contemporary design. A Unique Guest Experience Housed within a former wine cellar, the underground hotel offers guests a truly memorable stay. On the one hand, it preserves the timeless charm of traditional materials. On the other hand, it delivers the comfort and sophistication of contemporary design. Therefore, the project blends history and modernity into a single immersive experience that feels both intimate and refined. Ultimately, the concept transforms an overlooked underground space into a destination where design, atmosphere, and sensory experience come together seamlessly.  Apartment NEU

APARTMENT NEU Interior Design Project team: Andrej Kregar, Damir Černec Layout Focused on Functionality This project was created for a couple with a child. From the start, functionality guided every design decision. Because of this, we carefully considered the layout and how each room should connect. The final floor plan divides the apartment into two clear zones. On one side, there is the open living area. On the other side, a private section contains the children’s room, a toilet, and the master bedroom. In addition, a freestanding wardrobe separates these two parts. As a result, it forms a transitional corridor that links the spaces while keeping them visually distinct. Therefore, the flow through the apartment feels organized and intuitive. Materials, Colors, and Lighting The interior design is built on a simple palette of white, black, and green tones. Moreover, natural materials enrich the scheme and add warmth. Wooden elements play an important role, and they pair beautifully with stone textures. The lighting is divided into two systems. First, diffused track lights create even illumination. Second, directional lights highlight decorative features and specific zones. Consequently, each area feels both functional and visually defined. Atmosphere and Visual Identity Because the color palette is minimalist, distinctive details can stand out more clearly. In addition, warm spotlights soften the space and create a welcoming atmosphere. As a result, the apartment feels balanced, modern, and refined, while still supporting the daily life of a young family. Livar Offices

LIVAR OFFICE RENOVATION Interior Design Project team: Andrej Kregar, Kaja Vidovič, Tamara Likon A New Development Phase for Livar Livar d. d., a specialist in complex foundry products, entered a new development phase and began investing heavily in the modernization of its production. As part of this shift, the company also decided to renovate its business premises and administrative processes. Because of this, they invited Kreatif architects to design a modern and efficient interior for the administrative building. From the start, the goal was to create a space that supports employees and reflects the company’s evolving identity. Creating a Unified Working Environment The diverse activities within the company—sales, logistics, and development—intertwine in shared spaces. Therefore, we needed a creative approach to connect all functions into a coherent and balanced working environment. To achieve this, we focused on ergonomics, calm color schemes, and both natural and artificial lighting. In addition, we addressed sound insulation, functional workspace organization, and indoor climate. As a result, the workplace feels more comfortable, stable, and supportive for all employees. Smart Spatial Organization During planning, we paid special attention to the separation between quiet and noisy zones. Logistics, sales, and the utility program generate higher noise levels, while, by contrast, facilities management and development departments require silence. To resolve this, we divided the spaces with glass partitions. Consequently, the interior maintains openness and transparency while still reducing distractions.Furthermore, equal access to the meeting room was a priority. It needed to be convenient for employees and easily reachable for external visitors. For this reason, we organized workstations in logistics, sales, and the utility program to allow short and efficient movement throughout the office. A Design Language Inspired by Foundry Technology The concept for the office interior takes inspiration from Livar’s own products and technology. Since the company logo and many of its products feature curved edges, we introduced soft, rounded forms and layered structures into the design. In this way, the interior expresses the essence of modern pre-casting methods such as 3D printing. Ultimately, these elements form what we refer to as the foundry concept, a visual identity that links the space directly to the company’s core activity. Materials, Colors, and Acoustic Comfort Natural materials and glass play a key role in the business interior. Moreover, neutral white surfaces create a calm backdrop for bold red metal accents, which express the company’s visual identity. At the same time, anti-allergenic textile flooring helps reduce noise throughout the offices. In addition, the color palette supports the company’s commitment to environmentally conscious production. This idea continues with a living green wall, which adds texture and improves the overall indoor atmosphere. Lighting as a Unifying Element Special care was given to the lighting concept. Linear ambient lights run through hallways and office zones. Because of their placement, they follow the edges of the suspended ceiling and visually connect the entire office. Consequently, the lighting creates a calm, unified, and well-illuminated workspace that supports focus and communication. Interior of the Duler office building

DULER OFFICE BUILDING INTERIOR Interior Design Project team: Gregor Blaj, Andrej Kregar Duler is a family-owned company with a long tradition in the railway industry, mechanical engineering, and mining and hydro equipment. Alongside their new production facility, they envisioned an administrative building, and that’s where our work began. The building’s modern exterior, seen here, is matched by an innovative and thoughtfully designed interior. At the heart of the concept stands a concrete staircase, preserved almost in its original form, serving as a symbolic element of strength and continuity. The brief was to create workspaces that reflect the company’s character and expertise, which led us to combine industrial materials with the warmth of wood. Our aim was simplicity in material selection, while achieving strong aesthetic value. Concrete, sheet metal, and wood come together into a cohesive whole that embodies the spirit of a contemporary business in the metal industry. The spaces are defined by a sleek black palette paired with abundant natural materials, creating an atmosphere of calm and intimacy. With six family members living in the home, the number of rooms is generous. The entire top floor, shaped as an attic, is dedicated to a luxurious master bedroom with  its own bathroom. Adding the finishing touch to the thoughtful layout and elegant design is the sauna, which transforms the attic into a private mini spa. A contemporary interior with refined lines that leaves no one indifferent. This house was also featured in an interior design show on POP TV, which you can watch here.
