Renderings are now a major part of the interior design process. These are computer-generated visualizations that show us the desired final state before renovation or construction. Designers, architects and other professionals use 3D renderings to communicate clearly with each other and with the client, who can adapt and optimize the space according to their wishes. Renderings are a key part of the creative process, in which we can create endless possibilities, »test« them, change them, refute them, upgrade them...

Medium between client and designer

The main task of an apartment layout is visual communication between the client and the designer. In this sense, the 3D apartment layout represents the second part of the conversation. After the client first presents their vision, ideas, and wishes, the designer responds visually. Through this process, the client’s vision is interpreted and transformed into a concrete spatial form with a distinct character, while at the same time respecting all given constraints. Moreover, the three-dimensional layout allows the client to more easily imagine the final outcome of the renovation. As a result, potential problems or shortcomings become visible early in the process, enabling the client to adjust their expectations and wishes accordingly.

KREATIF PROCESS

Client Brief and Concept Development

First and foremost, the process begins with a conversation with the client. During this stage, the designer gains insight into the client’s wishes, requirements, and lifestyle. At the same time, the creative process already starts, as the designer begins to reflect on possible solutions and design directions.

In the case of renovation projects, an on-site measurement follows. This step is essential, as it allows us to determine precise internal dimensions. As a result, potential errors are avoided and later changes in time and budget are minimized.

Spatial Modeling and Layout Design

Once the dimensions are confirmed, the 3D modeling phase begins. At this point, the main focus is on the spatial concept, layout organization, partitions, and key architectural elements. In other words, this step defines the core idea of the space.

Materialization and Textures

After establishing the spatial framework, the process continues with materialization. Here, neutral surfaces are given identity through textures and colors. In order to achieve realism, materials must follow architectural and material logic—wood should appear warm, ceramics reflective, and furniture soft and inviting.

Furnishing and Atmosphere

Subsequently, furniture, equipment, and people are added to the space. This ensures that the visualization moves beyond a static representation and begins to convey everyday life. Consequently, the atmosphere and comfort of future users become clearly perceptible.

Lighting Design

In addition, lighting is carefully designed. Depending on the desired mood, different light sources, intensities, and color temperatures are used. For example, visualizations can represent various times of day, from cool morning light to warm evening tones, both natural and artificial.

Continuous Client Collaboration

Throughout the entire process, continuous communication with the client is maintained. This way, the design can be adjusted and refined, ensuring that the final result accurately reflects the client’s vision.

The charm of 3D computer renderings of interior spaces is that we can instantly change certain characteristics of the space, such as lighting, equipment or materials. It is important, however, to look at each detail holistically and be aware that a certain detail can work perfectly on its own, but at the same time spoil the composition or have a bad effect on another element. 3D renderings allow us to focus on both the details and the whole and ensure that the space works flawlessly in all respects.
