We designed the outer shell and user interface for a revolutionary kitchen appliance, the Food Garbage Recycler, a device that introduces a completely new approach to organic waste processing. From the beginning our goal was to create a product that fits naturally into the flow of the kitchen. Therefore, the overall design is soft, calm, and non-intrusive. The compact cuboid form, with its rounded edges and matte surfaces, avoids the harshness often associated with technical appliances. Instead, it expresses a quiet presence and a sense of ease which supports the idea that advanced technology can still feel warm and approachable.
