Competition – we are participating in the organization

Kreatif Design is participating in another project, we are helping the Gledring company select a new design for car mats in the “Design a new generation Gledring mat” competition. At the first meeting, Andrej Kregar (founder of Kreatif Design) gave a lecture to the gathered designers who had applied for the competition about what interests clients and what is important in developing new products. The Slovenian company Gledring has successfully launched the design competition “Design the new generation Gledring carpet”. More than ten candidates attended the introductory lecture with their proposals, ideas and conceptual sketches.

The response to the invitation to the design competition, in which young Slovenian designers create the design of the new generation Gledring rubber carpet, exceeded all expectations. A large number of young designers applied to the competition, which was held on the website and on the social network Facebook, with their proposals, and the expert jury, led by the renowned architect and industrial designer Andrej Kregar from the company Kreatif Design, selected the best and invited their authors to further cooperation.

The purpose of the competition is to attract young designers and develop their talents, which will help to create a new, recognizable design for the new generation of Gledring rubber carpets. This renowned Slovenian company swears by its domestic knowledge, which is why it gives an opportunity to a new, young generation of Slovenian designers. They undoubtedly have great potential, as proven by the original and exceptionally well-developed conceptual sketches.

The head of the design competition, Luka Gledj, presented the process of making a rubber mat to all participants and touched on the business aspect, among other things, while Andrej Kregar professionally assessed their conceptual proposals and briefly commented on each of them. He also made some suggestions for improvements or starting points for further work and development of individual ideas. At the same time, he pointed out the basic technical requirements for serial production that the design of a rubber mat must meet.

They also toured the production and got to know the materials, tools, machines and procedures for making a rubber mat in more detail. Based on new findings and technical requirements related to serial production, the participants of the competition will prepare appropriate design modifications under expert mentorship, and the best of them will ultimately adorn the new generation Gledring carpet.
