This project presents the design of a modern duplex intended as an investment for a client from the Vrhnika area. The plot lies at the edge of a developed residential row, so the house needed to blend naturally with its surroundings. Access to the site is from the south, directly from the Vrhnika–Ljubljana road, which also defines the orientation of the main entrance.

The building features a low-slope trapezoidal roof finished in matte grey sheet metal that continues down the south and north façades. In contrast, the east and west sides use simple white plaster to create a clean and balanced look. The duplex has three levels—ground floor, first floor, and attic (P+1+M)—organized for both comfort and efficiency.

Living spaces face northwest and open onto a sheltered terrace behind the building. This orientation increases privacy and reduces noise coming from the regional road. The ground floor includes an entrance windbreak, a study, a small bathroom, and stairs to the upper level. On the first floor, a large bedroom with a dressing room and en-suite bathroom ensures comfort for the parents, while two children’s rooms connect to attic sleeping areas and share an additional bathroom.
