A New Architectural Identity for Uprom

Uprom, a manufacturer of sheet metal products, approached us to redesign the façade of their existing business building and to plan the interior and exterior layout. Their old façade was functional, yet it did not express the company’s identity. Because of this, we began with the exterior and developed a new architectural expression that better represented their brand. After preparing several design studies, the client selected a bold solution: vertical sheet-metal strips that visually unify the existing structure with the planned extension.

Parametric Design for a Tailored Façade

For the façade, we combined creative exploration with parametric software (Grasshopper). This method allowed us to respond to the client’s expectations quickly and accurately. In addition, it ensured an attractive formal appearance, proper sunlight, clear views, and improved wind protection. The same design approach can easily extend to many other project types. These range from urban interventions and creative public structures to tall buildings, pavilions, and large residential developments. Because of its flexibility, the method supports efficient decision-making throughout the design process.

A Functional and Refined Interior

The interior renovation focused equally on function and atmosphere. We reimagined key spaces, including the entrance hall and the conference room, while the new extension introduced a wine cellar, a meeting room, and a roof pavilion. Spaces with high visibility—those used by clients and business partners—received particular attention. In the offices and entrance hall, we used monochromatic light tones to create a sense of airiness. We also added product display surfaces to strengthen the brand presence.

The wine cellar, meant for informal gatherings, has a more intimate character. Exposed concrete walls, black steel details, and aged wood flooring give the space a warm yet raw aesthetic.

Landscape Improvements and Parking Design

The exterior redesign also included new parking solutions for clients and employees. Customer parking sits in front of the building and blends paved areas with green surfaces. Employee parking is placed on a separate plot, designed as a landscaped park. The existing pear-tree avenue was extended to provide shade, and soil from the paving work was reused to create green boundary banks. Instead of asphalt, the parking surfaces were finished with hardened grass, which creates a softer visual appearance and improves permeability.
