We carried out a large-scale renovation for a client, transforming former office space into a modern live-work apartment. The clients, both graphic designers, envisioned an interior in a contemporary industrial style, with a focus on natural materials and a dark color palette.

Since the space was originally designed for office use, significant changes to the layout and functionality were required. The small office restroom was converted into a spacious bathroom with a shower, and we added a compact kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, and a small hob. The living and working areas are separated from the hallway by a dark partition wall with a concealed door.

To highlight the industrial character of the space, we introduced a number of bold design elements. Perforated metal was added to the ceiling profiles, while the bedroom walls and the wall behind the computer desks were finished with a raw concrete coating. Clothes racks were crafted from iron pipes, and perforated iron sheets were used for organizational boards that allow for custom hanging arrangements. The original Armstrong ceilings were removed, leaving the supporting profiles exposed and painted black.
