3D drawing of the apartment
3D renderings are now a major part of the interior design process. These are computer-generated visualizations that show us the desired final state before renovation or construction. Designers, architects and other professionals use 3D renderings to communicate clearly with each other and with the client, who can adapt and optimize the space according to their wishes. Renderings are a key part of the creative process, in which we can create endless possibilities, »test« them, change them, refute them, upgrade them...
Medium between client and designer
Main task of the apartment layout is visual communication between the client and the designer of the space. The 3D apartment layout can be perceived as the second part of the conversation, in the first part the client presents his vision of the space, ideas and wishes, and the space layout is a visual conversation where the designer tells how, taking into account all the conditions, he imagined the space, how he embodied the client’s vision, gave it the form and character of the space. Thanks to the three-dimensional layout, the client can more easily imagine the final state of the renovation, can see certain problems or shortcomings and therefore adapt his wishes to the current state.
KREATIF PROCESS
The process of creating a three-dimensional drawing takes place in several steps. The first step, which significantly influences the final drawing of the apartment, is of course a conversation with the client, where the designer finds out what the client wants, what his requirements, wishes and orientations are. At this moment, the creative process begins, our designers are already thinking about what the best possible solution is and how to implement it.
In the case of renovation, an important step is to measure the space at the actual location. This way, we can determine the exact internal dimensions of the rooms and take them into account so that unnecessary errors or complications do not occur later in the process and the associated changes in the time and financial framework.
Next comes the 3D rendering of the apartment. Taking into account the exact internal dimensions, we model a 3D model of the space and its main features, partitions, joinery… here we mainly pursue the spatial concept and the main idea of the layout. In the second step, materialization, we deal with materials. We breathe life into neutral materials without identity by »gluing« the textures and colors of concrete materials onto them. These must look realistic, so it is important that the textures adapt to the architectural, structural and material logic. Wood must look like wood, smooth ceramic tiles must reflect light, and a sofa must give the impression of softness and comfort.
Then we add equipment, people, and furniture to the space, ensuring that the visualization is not just a dry and unrealistic picture of the interior, but that the space comes to life as it will in reality. The realization must best depict the atmosphere in the space and the well-being of future users, which is why the layout of the interior and other spatial elements is important. We are aware that a space is also co-created by objects, equipment, and people in it, namely the same space can look quite different with or without content.
Next comes lighting. We choose the light, position the light source, level, amount and colour of the lighting. Light is one of the most important intangible elements in architecture, and it also has a significant impact on our well-being. For example, in the morning the light is more bluish, during the day it is neutral white, and in the evening it changes to warmer, almost yellow and orange shades. These changes can also be recreated in visualizations, so we can »place« the 3 layouts of the apartment in different parts of the day. We can also change the type of light from strong and direct to calm and diffuse, from outside through the window to the warmer light of indoor lights.
We are in constant contact with the client, adapting and changing our creation throughout the entire process so that we listen to the client as much as possible and take their wishes into account.
WHY THIS?
The charm of 3D computer renderings of interior spaces is that we can instantly change certain characteristics of the space, such as lighting, equipment or materials. It is important, however, to look at each detail holistically and be aware that a certain detail can work perfectly on its own, but at the same time spoil the composition or have a bad effect on another element. 3D renderings allow us to focus on both the details and the whole and ensure that the space works flawlessly in all respects.
