The solar-powered catamaran project started long (way) away, and I mean literally; the clients, who contacted us, are an advanced Rwandan company (Africa) that approached us with the mission of designing a vessel, which will significantly improve the way of life of the people around the Malawi, Victoria, Tanganyika, and Kivu lakes.

Hybrid Yacht Design

In our design studio, we stick to the philosophy of making a difference, and the same was with this project. It is known in all industries that the days of fossil fuels are over. Hence, it is not surprising that electric and hybrid propulsion is moving to ships too. Of course, we also follow these innovations. This project was about creating an electric hybrid yacht for an investor from the Czech Republic.

Alfastreet Powerboat

We made visualizations of the speedboat whose model is called 28 open motor. We dealt mainly with the vessel’s appearance and the selection and design of materials. Our main task was to prepare marketing material for the company named Alfastreet Marine. The end result is a speedboat model with a total length of 9.8 meters and represents an excellent combination of comfort and practicality.

Piantoni Yacht

Piantoni, a renowned yacht broker, has introduced its first vessel of in-house design, developed in collaboration with our team. We shaped the exterior, interior fittings, spatial layout, and visualizations to create a refined yet understated environment, defined by organic forms and soft pastel tones that evoke a sense of quiet luxury. Beyond seaworthiness, this yacht is designed to captivate the senses and transform every voyage into a way of life.

Beginning of the project

The design process always begins with the first meeting to determine the design brief, which can be determined by the shipyard’s heritage, owners’ vision, or new production/manufacturing technology.

A key factor for a great design brief is also deep market analysis. Market analysis gives a key advantage to pass over the competition whenever we work on boats for further sales.

2D Plans

Every yacht design project starts with the hull and deck design concept, and continues with a general arrangement and engine definition.

All major characteristics of the yacht must be defined during this phase that starts with 2D hand drawing and continues with computer 2D drawings of basic layouts, sections, and side view.

These plans define the base concept of the yacht and all main characteristics that cannot be changed drastically over the future phases.

3D Sketches

Some future yacht owners want to start the whole project from sketch, and we're happy to accommodate. If this is not the case, after determining the yacht's general arrangement we move on to the first exterior sketches.

This stage of the project is the most interesting for both our clients and for us. It's where creativity and innovation come to life, and where the chemistry between client and yacht truly begins. From here, we move on to designing the interior.

With 3D sketches we present the yacht’s styling while at the same time starting to model it in dedicated software.

3D Cad Modelling

When a client selects their preferred concept, we begin developing the preliminary 3D exterior. At this stage, we generate a CAD model, that provides the shipayrd with accurate design information.

Throughout the process, we refine ergonomics and usability while preparing the 3d model for visualization.

Once the preliminary project is complete, we create a 3d model for CNC milling.

Final Yacht Styling

Before production, every client wants to be completely certain they have chosen the right design. To support this decision, we create exterior and interior visualizations that show ideas as they will appear in reality.

In close collaboration with the client, we make the final design decisions. Together we define colors, decorations and the final details that complete a yacht's design.
