Project year: 2014
3D modelling and co-design of exterior and interior: Andrej Kregar – Kreatif Design
Preliminary design: Seaway Design
Vessel length: 17,2 m (57’)
Development of the Ocean Class 57 is one of the biggest projects we worked on, where we designed every detail. After that worked on development of the Ocean Class 57 and is one of the biggest projects we worked on. Side view and floor plan were given by Seaway Design and the overall shape was required to fit the Ocen Class yacht line, whereas the interiors were already based on client demands. Our task was to create the vessel in 3D and design the details of the yacht to better fit the Ocean Class range as well as create renderings for the marketing campaign.
The exterior of the yacht, such as the fly and the cockpit are significantly larger than those of competitive vessels, and the total width of the Ocean Class 57 is the widest in its class. Despite such width, the vessel is not wider beneath the water surface, thus ensuring lower water resistance and consequently lower fuel consumption.
The design of the bow has been modernised and remodeled to fit the proportions of the vessel, while a lot of attention has been focused on the design of the roof of the fly as well as the overhanging part of the roof. Moreover, we also improved the functionality of the interior by expanding the lounge area as well making amendments to the narrow gateways.
