Over 5 years ago, Gledring designed a car floor mat called T-design, which was one of the first that did not have the classical chequered pattern. Now, it is one of the bestselling car floor mats in Slovenia and has a significant market share in other European markets as well. Since the car industry is an ever-changing one, the company wanted to modernize the existing model.
Since T-design had been such a successful model, the client did not wish to change the core design principle, which is the print of a car tire pattern. However, they sensed a need for modernization as the market competition is fierce, especially with manufacturers from countries where materials or workforce are cheaper.
The new design is characterized by clearer lines and dynamic edges. Moreover, we designed the mat in a way that makes maintenance easier. The following designs present different trends from the car industry, which we transcended into the mat design.
