We believe that old city centers should be preserved, but in the areas where a building has decayed for so long that a renovation would not be reasonable, contemporary concepts should be introduced in order to facilitate our modern lifestyles. Such additions to the center would allow it to maintain importance, therefore the hustle and bustle would not move into shopping centers located on the brink of cities, but would rather stay in its initial surrounding.
The following building would be built in the location of a decaying building site and is designed as an open space covered by a roof, i.e. resembling an arcade. The ground floor features a gallery and several shops, the first floor would become home to a library and the top two floors would host residential apartments.
